Page numbers

If you position a page number on a page it will receive the text of the field “Content” in the screen “Page Setup”.

In contrast to other text fields a page number can be edited. If you edit a page number the field “Content” on the “Page Setup” screen will also be changed.

Prefix and suffix

Page numbers can also have a so-called prefix and suffix. A prefix is a text before the page number like “Tax 1”. A suffix is a text behind the page number like “1a”.

Adding a page number

You can use the same method to add a page number to a page as to add other text fields. The value it receives, however, depends on the page it is positioned on.
